This web app creates rotating and oscillating videos from GLB / GLTF / FBX 3D models, optimized for Looking Glass's photo frame, "Musubi". It runs entirely in your browser — no installation required, and it works on both PC and Mac.

💡 How Musubi works: "Musubi" is a photo player that overlays a transparent LCD panel on top of a lenticular sheet that creates the illusion of a 3D frame. Brighter parts of the video become transparent, letting the 3D frame behind show through — so a flat 2D video appears to have real 3D depth.

Musubi-optimized recording resolution: Videos are exported at a fixed portrait resolution of 576×1024 pixels, ready to play on Musubi as-is.
Freely adjustable background color: Choose any background color for your 3D model. Brighter colors produce a stronger 3D effect, since more of Musubi's transparent LCD shows through.
Four auto-play animations: Choose from Horizontal Orbit, Horizontal Oscillation, Vertical Oscillation, or Elliptical Orbit to move the model automatically while recording.
Just copy it over USB: Transfer the saved .mp4 file to Musubi via USB and it plays automatically — no conversion needed.

file_open Opening a 3D Model

You can load a model using either of the following methods:

Click the folder icon folder_open on the far left of the toolbar and choose "Open 3D Model".
Drag and drop a model file directly onto the viewer.

Supported formats: .glb / .gltf / .fbx

📂 Multiple Files: Both methods let you select multiple files at once. When several files are loaded, use the arrow_backarrow_forward (Prev/Next) buttons to switch between them.

*Click or touch the screen to quickly show/hide the toolbar. The tune button in the bottom-right corner also toggles the UI.

Icon	Function
folder_open File	"Open 3D Model" (multiple selection supported).
palette Background Color	Pick any background color with the color picker, or choose a preset with one click: (Default / White / Gray / Black / Green Screen / Blue Screen). Your choice is remembered the next time you open the app.
arrow_back / arrow_forward	Switch between models when multiple files are loaded.
fullscreen Full	Toggle fullscreen display.
play_arrow Auto Play	Choose from four camera animations — Horizontal Orbit, Horizontal Oscillation, Vertical Oscillation, Elliptical Orbit — or Stop.
radio_button_checked Record	Start/stop recording. See "Recording & Transferring to Musubi" below for details.

movie Recording & Transferring to Musubi

Click radio_button_checked in the toolbar to start recording, and click it again to stop. The elapsed time is shown while recording.
Recording is always captured at 576×1024 pixels (Musubi's optimized resolution), regardless of your window size.
After you stop, "Exporting video…" is shown while the file is being encoded. The button won't respond during this time — that's expected, not a malfunction. Once finished, the .mp4 file downloads automatically.
Files are saved with the name 0000_<timestamp>.mp4.

📼 Playing on Musubi: Just copy the saved .mp4 file to Musubi over USB — no conversion needed, it plays right away.
